Great way to keep up with subjects important to you. I only wish the notification sound was different as every time it goes off I think its a text message.

Perfectly simple idea and great execution. Just the right amount of customization available without being overly complicated. This app does one thing very well. Ive changed my keywords several times to get it just right over the past week and am very happy. Customer service is also great. I had a few problems with the push alert system at first and the dev responded to my emails instantaneously and my issue was resolved.

This app makes finding useful news stories so easy to do. I have had no problems with it; its very fast and efficient, and it does what its supposed to very well. And this review was not solicited in any way. Thanks, Caustic.

This saves me the time Id normally waste wading through thousands of RSS feeds. Ive set it to alert me when nuclear missiles are heading towards where I live so I can prepare myself for World War III. Amazing app, it will save my life one day.

This app. is great. The End! I had a small issue setting up. I emailed newsalert, 23 hours later I received a reply and moments later I was up and running my new app. If your a news hound as I am or just plain into anything this app. will indeed impress you My expectations have been greatly exceeded. That is rare. I took 5 days to use my 10 keywords, becuse of the app. performing in the matter it does I added more. I could not be more happy with this app. If you try it you will be pleased, trust me the description is dead on accurate. Again what a great app. Also the people at NewsAlert have not only provided us with a great app. They (Itamar) are very responsive and timely to your communications. If your into following anything this app will make it easier and effortless.

There is a few Push News apps out there but instead of putting in RSS links, you put words in. So you want to know about a Sports team or TV program, this is the app for you ;) After using this app more, when you get alert you can go to the actually web page within the built in browser. Which makes it even better ;)

It is the best reader I have. I use it almost everyday.

For my purposes, this is the best news search app available. Not only does it cover a very broad range of sources and provide for an in-application e-mail function, it even transfers the title of the items directly to the subject line. Recommendation: For even greater ease of use, it would be helpful if each of the articles were re-scaled for easy viewing. Double-thumbing works, but it still requires a lot of hit-and-miss operations.

Loved this app before I updated to iOS 4. The author says an update is on the way. However, it is a bit frustrating that an update wasnt made available before the release of iOS 4 rather than after the fact. The new SDK was offered to developers just for this reason. I guess the author wrongly assumed the app would continue to work. Not sure what to make of that kind of oversight. If u have an iPhone running iOS 4, dont waste money on this app. Wait to spend it wisely when the update has been released. But then... BUY THIS APP cuz it rocks! ...knocks push-RSS apps out!

All is good for iPhone 3GS w iOS 4. You just need a strong signal to load the app. Thank you, Newsalert!

Forget their self-congratulating! It still crashes, but it takes longer. They claim in the upgrade blurb that the alert takes you to THAT story. It worked the first time, not since.

In a nutshell, I love this program! It is better than Google Alerts. Who hasnt had problems with OS 4? I have tons of applications and love the fact that I can place "more" on my iPod Touch...I am in love with OS 4. However, it has "every" application going nuts and we all need to be patient and allow developers to do their job. First, remember when before writing a negative review that you need to (first) send all the details to the developer and let them know about the issue. If you get an immediate response then is usally means that they will try to diagnose the issue. However, they need "specific details" to adequately address any issue and resolve the current problem(s). Now, if you dont get any response after a few days you all know what that means...write away and place all the negative data online for others to see. These folks are definitely working on the issue and will try to resolve it as soon as possible. They have written back to me several times asking for more details regarding the issue listed above (see other review). Please remember these are great developers. Really! I always read comments "before" purchasing any product and the reviews are always correct. Get this product! Again, they are working on the issue and care about your concerns to write them directly.

Does what it says it does, but for my purposes it wasnt as practical. The integration of google reader or allowing more push terms with the initial purchase would make the price a little more justifiable for most. Overall, though does what it says it does, just doesnt do much for me, thus a middle ground rating.

Excellent set up and very user friendly. I am totally pleased with this app.
